Paolo Pirjanian is a venture partner at Calibrate Ventures and an industry-leading founder, technologist, and leader in robotics. 

Currently, Paolo is founder and CEO  of Embodied, a Calibrate Ventures portfolio company that is building socially and emotionally intelligent robot companions to enhance people’s daily lives through better personal care and wellness. Previously, Paolo was CTO of iRobot and CEO and CTO of Evolution Robotics He has nearly two decades of experience developing and commercializing consumer robotics and leading world-class technical teams.

Paolo currently sits on the board of Happiest Baby and has previously served as an investor, board member, and adviser for other leading robotics and technology companies. He earned his PhD in Robotics from Aalborg University in Denmark, has taught AI at the University of Southern California, and conducted research for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab.
