Don Barnett is a serial entrepreneur, advisor, and board member in the food and beverage, ag-tech, CPG, and health and wellness sectors. Most recently, as CEO of Sun Basket, Don oversaw rapid growth of this natural organic home meal delivery company to national distribution serving 98% of ZIP codes in America. As a proven leader building a complex direct-to-consumer perishable supply chain, he led Sun Basket through uncertain COVID times to a successful M&A exit in 2022. Don has also served as CFO of several companies including Organicgirl Produce and Rocket Farms, and CEO of Pessagno Winery. Don has received numerous recognitions including being selected to serve on the FedEX E-commerce Advisory Board (2019-2022). As a strategic board member to many insurance, food, wine, and freight logistics companies, some of Don’s board roles have included Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Terra Insurance Company and Board Member of Aspire Health Insurer. Don holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School, and a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
